The radio frequency coaxial connector is also a coaxial connector and coaxial cable interface. It refers to the parts used to connect the ends of two shafts to ensure that the center lines of the two shafts are on the same axis. Coaxial connectors In connection applications, there are many types of coaxial connectors to choose from, and each coaxial connector is designed for specific purposes and specific applications.
1. BNC connector: commonly known as Q9 connector, or BNC connector for short, English Bayonet Navy connector, full name Navy bayonet connector, originally mainly for military purposes, has been widely used in video and radio frequency, which is the most typical Coaxial connector and bayonet connection ensure fast connection and reliable contact. BNC head is a common coaxial connector that is easy to install and low in price. The working frequency can be as high as 2GHz. Above 4GHz, the slot will radiate signals. The threaded connection type, that is, the TNC connector (also a threaded BNC connector) solves the problem of signal leakage, and the operating frequency of the TNC connector can be as high as 12 GHz. BNC connectors are currently commonly used in two characteristic impedances, 50Ω and 75Ω.
2. The N-type connector (Navy) is a threaded connection, which appeared in 1940 and is mainly used in military systems below 4GHz; it was improved in 1960, and the working frequency was increased to 12GHz, and then to 18GHz, commonly used as 50Ω, some The 75Ω product also adopts the N-type design, and its inner conductor diameter is small, which is incompatible with the 50Ω connector. The N-type connector is a medium power connector with threaded connection. It has the characteristics of high reliability, strong vibration resistance, excellent mechanical and electrical performance, etc. It is widely used in radio equipment and instruments under vibration and harsh environmental conditions, and ground transmission The system is connected to the radio frequency coaxial cable.
3. The SMA connector is a subminiature A, designed by Bendix Scintilla. It is one of the most commonly used RF microwave connectors. The screw connection is compact and durable, and the frequency is DC-18GHz. This kind of joint is mainly used in semi-steel cables and fixed connection parts. Because the dielectric support of SMA is difficult to fix, most SMA connectors have a larger inverse coefficient than other connectors that can be used at 24 GHz. They are connected by nuts to meet the requirements of connectors in high vibration environments.
4. SMB connector is called Subminiature B. Compared with SMA connector, it adopts plug-in or snap-in connection instead of threaded connection, so connection and disconnection are quick and convenient. The operating frequency is generally up to 4 GHz, and is commonly used for data signal transmission, such as digital cellular, GPS, and wireless local area networks.
5. The full name of the SMC connector is Subminiature C, which is much smaller than the SMA connector. It is very suitable for use in occasions where space is limited, leakage is small, and the connection is fixed. The operating frequency can generally reach 10GHz. It is commonly used for signal transmission, such as shockproof Demanding car GPS and communication.
6. MCX connector (MICROAX COAXIAL CONNECTORS) is a push-in small connection structure, small appearance, convenient and fast connection of radio frequency coaxial connectors. The characteristic impedance of the MCX connector is 50Ω and 75Ω. The connector is suitable for use in places with small space and light weight, and its appearance is 30% smaller than that of the SMB connector. The working frequency is generally up to 6GHz, and it is commonly used for data signal transmission, such as GPS antennas and radio frequency instruments.
7. MMCX connector (MINIATURE MICROAX COAXIAL CONNECTORS) is a miniature coaxial connector, a miniature product smaller than MCX. It adopts locking connection and can be rotated 360 degrees, which is suitable for occasions requiring small appearance and light weight. The operating frequency is generally up to 6GHz, and is commonly used for data signal transmission, such as GPS antennas and PCMCIA cards.
